Profession-specific DPA
because of who you are.
Some DPA isn't about income or location — it's about profession. Teachers, nurses, first responders, military service members, and public servants get additional grants, lower interest rates, and reduced fees through programs gated by their job.
How it works.
- Step 01
You verify your profession.
Employment letter or ID typically suffices — your lender handles this with the agency.
- Step 02
The program adds on top of regular DPA.
Profession-specific DPA almost always layers — you keep all the city + state DPA you qualify for, plus this.
- Step 03
You take it at closing.
Funds arrive as a grant or a forgivable second at closing. Some programs also reduce your interest rate by 0.25-0.5%.
What you need.
- Active employment in a qualifying profession (usually 1+ year)
- Some programs require employment in a specific district or service area
- Primary residence
- Standard income + credit underwriting still applies
