hey prescott.

For HUD housing counselors

Every program they qualify for. Your whole caseload.

You shouldn’t have to be a DPA encyclopedia. Hey Prescott holds a verified catalog of 2,500+ down payment assistance programs and gives you the portal to run a caseload against it — classes, documents, action plans, certificates.

Claim your HUD-approved agency and get to work.

Why this exists

You are the last person who should be guessing.

A family sits down across from you. Income-qualified. Mortgage-ready. And there are eleven programs in your county that could put $15,000 to $40,000 toward their close — city, county, state, employer, lender-funded. Most of them stackable.

Nobody has that list. It changes constantly. Funding runs dry mid-quarter and the website doesn’t say so.

So the family gets the two programs you happen to know. The rest of the money stays on the table.

You already know this. That’s what we built first.

Built for counselors

Everything between the first session and the certificate.

01

The DPA catalog

2,500+ programs across all 50 states and DC, verified against primary sources and re-checked monthly. Filter by the family's actual situation — income, location, occupation, veteran status, first-time status — and get a ranked, stackable list with the eligibility criteria written out and a link to the source. Save the ones worth pursuing straight to their file.

02

Claim or create your agency

Find your agency in the HUD directory and claim it — or add it if it isn’t listed. A human reviews every claim before the portal unlocks.

03

Your caseload

Invite the buyers you already work with. Once they accept, you see the roster: who’s in what stage, when you last touched them, and who’s gone quiet.

04

Classes buyers can find

Publish education classes and certificate courses. Buyers discover them by date, register, and e-sign your intake documents on the platform. Mark attendance, mark completion, issue the certificate — it lands on the buyer’s profile, where the DPA program can find it.

05

Documents, both directions

Upload the PDFs clients must sign — typed e-signatures with a full audit record. Clients upload W-2s and statements back to you, privately.

06

Coach with action plans

Prescott drafts a 30/60/90/120-day plan from the goals you state for the client. You edit every word. You publish when it’s yours. They check off steps; you watch the progress.

Straight answer

Prescott drafts. You decide.

Prescott will write the action plan, summarize the family’s situation, and pull the programs. Prescott will not tell a family what loan to take, quote them a rate, or run their DTI at them. The borrower-facing side of this product is educational — deliberately, and permanently.

Counseling is your job. We’re not automating it. We’re taking back the four hours a week you spend on the parts of it that aren’t counseling.

How it fits

Works with the CMS you already have.

Hey Prescott is the DPA and counseling-workflow layer. It runs alongside CounselorMax, or whatever your agency uses — your CMS stays the HUD system of record, and nothing about how your agency files its 9902 changes.

Nothing to rip out. Nothing to migrate.

We’re building toward HUD CMS certification against the ARM 6.0 specification, and we’ll say we’re approved on the day we are. Until then, this is purely additive.

FAQ

Questions counselors ask.

What does it cost?
It depends on the size of your counseling staff and what your agency uses. Your executive director can email nonprofits@heyprescott.com and we’ll give them a straight number — no funnel. More for agency leadership →
Is Hey Prescott a HUD-approved CMS?
Not yet. We’re building against HUD’s ARM 6.0 specification with certification as the goal, but we are not on HUD’s approved vendor list and we won’t claim to be until we are. Today this runs alongside your agency’s CMS.
How do you verify my claim?
A human reviews every claim — your work email, agency phone, or HUD profile link. Approval typically takes 1–2 business days and you’ll be notified either way.
How do you keep the DPA catalog current?
Automated re-verification monthly against primary sources, plus a research team working the program list directly. When a program’s terms change or its funding runs dry, you see it with a diff.
What can my agency see about a client?
Only what the client explicitly shares: their registration, documents they signed or uploaded for your event, and — once they accept your connection request — their readiness progress. They can disconnect anytime.
Are the e-signatures real signatures?
Clients view the exact PDF, type their full legal name, and give ESIGN consent. We record the signature with a timestamp, IP, and a fingerprint of the exact document version.
Do the AI-drafted plans go straight to clients?
Never. Prescott drafts from the goals you state; you edit every word and publish when it’s yours. Plans are educational only — no rates, no program recommendations.

The money is already there. Let’s get it to the families in front of you.
