The City of Brownsville Homebuyer Assistance (HBA) Program provides no-interest deferred loans up to $25,000 to low-to-moderate-income first-time homebuyers for the purchase of new or existing single-family homes. Funds are sourced from the HUD HOME Investment Partnerships Program. Minimum 600 credit score required. Participating lenders assist borrowers in completing the HBA application.
