The City of Auburn, through its CDBG-funded Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) administered by Homsite Fund, Inc., provides first-time homebuyers in the City of Auburn up to $3,000 toward down payment or closing cost assistance. Applicants must meet income guidelines, be pre-approved by a lender, and complete an approved homebuyer education course. Buyers who do not meet grant income guidelines or who purchase outside Auburn may instead qualify for a Homsite low-interest loan.
