The City of Westland Home Buyer Program provides down payment and eligible closing cost assistance (maximum loan $14,500, based on need) to low- and moderate-income families purchasing a home in the City of Westland. Assistance is a 0% forgivable loan secured by a second mortgage; the lien is forgiven after a 5-year affordability period if all requirements are met. Applicants are referred to National Faith Homebuyers for counseling and processing.
