The Housing Assistance for Veterans (HAVEN) program provides grants of up to $25,000 per household in Texas to veterans or active-duty service members with a service-related disability, or to Gold Star Families, for down payment/closing costs or home modifications. Households must earn 165% or less of AMI. Grants are distributed through FHLB Dallas member institutions on a first-come, first-served basis.
