Habitat for Humanity Greater Raleigh builds affordable, energy-efficient homes and sells them to income-qualified first-time homebuyers with a 0% or below-market 30-year mortgage. Applicants must have lived or worked in Wake County for 12 months, have 24 months of steady income, be a US citizen or permanent resident, and complete at least 200 sweat-equity hours. Homes are sold at ~70% of appraised value with income capped at 80% AMI and a 15-year shared-appreciation rider.
