Project I See You is a Colorado-based nonprofit empowering women — with a documented focus on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) women — through education, community, and direct financial support on the path to first-time homeownership and small-business ownership. The Shared Power Initiative, launched in 2021, accepts grant applications from women in Colorado who are buying their first home on their own. Participants join a Cohort group that meets three Fridays per month via Zoom (plus one in-person monthly session) to receive education from expert speakers, build peer connections, and prepare for closing. As the participant nears closing on her home, she submits a Grant Request Form; the Shared Power Committee reviews available funds and awards a true (non-repayable) grant. As of recent reporting, 100 women have received or been committed grants through Shared Power.
