Tarrant County's Homebuyer Assistance Program provides up to $50,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance as a zero-interest deferred note, forgivable after 10-to-20 years. Buyers must be first-time homeowners earning at or below 80% AMI, have liquid assets under $25,000, and invest a minimum of $1,500. Property must be in Tarrant County outside Fort Worth, Arlington, and Grand Prairie city limits.
