The TSAHC Homes for Texas Heroes Program provides 30-year fixed-rate mortgage loans with 3%–5% down payment assistance for eligible Texas healthcare heroes including nurses, nursing faculty, allied health faculty, EMS personnel, and other public-service professionals. Assistance can be taken as a non-repayable grant or a deferred forgivable second lien forgiven after three years. A Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) may be stacked for first-time buyers.
