Delete your account
This removes you from Hey Prescott. Take a minute to read what happens — you have a 30-day grace period to change your mind, but after that it's permanent.
What happens when you submit
- Immediately: your account is suspended and you're signed out everywhere. Profile, photos, and chat history stop appearing in the app.
- 30 days: you can sign in and restore the account from the restore prompt — nothing is lost during this window.
- After 30 days: personal data is anonymized. Email becomes a hashed placeholder, name becomes "Deleted User", photos are removed from the CDN, saved programs and chat history are deleted entirely.
What we retain (and why)
- Subscription & billing records — 7 years for tax / accounting compliance, PII scrubbed.
- Audit log — 24 months for fraud investigation and dispute resolution.
- Anti-fraud signals — 24 months to keep abuse actors from re-creating accounts.
- Wizard answers — kept anonymized for aggregate market analysis (5 years), never tied to an identifiable user.
- Pro NMLS records — retained per regulatory recordkeeping rules (if you held an NMLS-bound pro account).
